Here at Rex London we have recently introduced two new collections of products, both of which support important causes. So if you’re looking for a gift that will bring a smile to you, and a bit of joy to a vulnerable individual, then look no further.

Recycled bags

This collection features bags and purses all handmade from recycled cement bags.

The bags are handmade in Cambodia by social enterprise Village Works. In Cambodia, the construction sector is growing rapidly, leading to increased waste, with streets in Phnom Penh being littered with discarded materials, such as cement bags. Village Works give this waste a new lease of life as a collection of recycled cement bags.

What’s more, the money raised from selling these bags goes towards helping to provide employment and income for vulnerable individuals in Cambodia.

Hanging heart decorations

These pretty decorations are handmade in Egypt by Al Meerath. They are crafted by weaving beads and wire onto heart shapes.

Al Meerath works to empower women who are left without income. They help them to earn money to support their family and send their children to school, by teaching them how to make these beautiful decorations. They are shown the method of production, given the required materials, and then the finished product is purchased from them.
