Reusable snack bags

I find the more creative I am with food and packaging, the more chance I have of sneaking goodness into my little ones! I have put together a few ideas for inspiration, and great ways to fill your snacks bags.

Cinnamon Sugar Meteors

Ingredients:

  • 1 400g tin of chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Cinnamon sugar meteors
Space Age snack bags (set of three), £2.95

Pre-heat your over to 190 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment.

Combine all your ingredients in a bowl and spread out on the tray evenly.

Bake for 45-50 mins, turning half way. Allow to cool completely and fill your snack bags! They will keep fresh in an air tight tub for up to five days and work well with savoury flavourings too! Curry powder, pesto and oregano, smoked paprika . . . Just a few examples!

Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray.

In a large bowl add all four ingredients and mix well until everything is evenly combined.

Then roll into balls about the size of a fifty pence piece. Push to flatten slightly then bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Once baked, leave to cool and fill your snack bags!

Again, these will keep fresh for around 5 days in an airtight container. It really is that simple and kids could also get involved with this one!
