If you want to make your dinner party a little more interesting plan a theme around it. Anything from fancy dress to retro inspired. Use your imagination to create a unique theme that will be talked about long after.

Prep the food

In order to be as organised as you can preperation is key. Once you have selected your menu prepare as much of the food as possible. Once your guests arrive you'll just need to do a few jobs before sitting back with a drink.

Entertainment

When the meal is over you might want to finish with some games or light hearted entertainment. This is a great way to round off the evening and ensure that everyone has had a good time.

Cocktail hour

When your guests arrive offer them a pre-dinner drink. This will build a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. It also helps to break the ice for anyone who may not have met before.

Mood lighting

There's nothing nicer than eating by candle light. The soft ambient glow from a candle will provide a calm and tranquell setting. Place T-lights inside decorative holders subtly around the dinning room and on the table.
