Many of us could do with extra storage that serves more than one purpose. Welcome to the wonderful world of jumbo storage bags!

With a little creative thought, these beauties can open up a world of storage possibilities.

1. Replace redundant furniture

dotcomgiftshop’s durable storage bags not only sport quirky designs, but they're also made from recycled materials so they’re environmentally friendly too. And, when they’re not being used for storage, they’ll fold up and slip away easily. So get rid of that old empty wardrobe that's blocking out the sunlight and replace it with some funky storage bags instead!

2. Move house easily

Strong and flexible storage bags are so useful when it comes to moving house. Just throw all your clothes and hangers inside, zip up and haul them to the car. They are absolutely perfect for students who move to university, only to find they need more space to store clothes.

3. Tidy your cupboards

Keep your unruly cupboards super tidy by using storage bags to section off areas inside. Have one bag for shoes, another for handbags, and another for winter coats. It'll be a lot easier to find what you're looking for if you know which bag to rummage in!

4. Clear out the caravan

If you own a caravan or motorhome, you know not to keep the bedding and linen inside over winter, unless you like your duvet to have that mouldy look. Instead, remove all the soft fabrics from the caravan and keep them fresh inside in a couple of storage bags.

5. Store towels and bedding

Towels and spare bedding can hog all the space under the bed or on top of your wardrobes, so put all the spares in storage bags and keep them in the garage or understairs cupboard until you need them.

6. Make giant Lego

Get your hands on a selection of storage bags, fill them up with soft furnishings and leave them to the mercy of a child who will find 101 uses for their new giant Lego blocks (but don't forget to supervise them while they play)!

7. Prepare a picnic

The sun is out, the birds are singing, but you don’t have a picnic hamper. Never fear! Pop everything carefully in one of our eye-catching storage bags - with the picnic blanket in the bottom for padding - and off you go.

8. Pack up car supplies

Does everything roll around in your car boot? Keep it tidy by putting all the tools, de-icer, spare oil and other random stuff into a storage bag (or two). You'll be surprised by how spacious and neat your boot can be!

9. Extra underwear drawer

Many underwear drawers are crammed full and won't close any more, as if all the socks and pants inside are desperately trying to escape. You know where to throw all the spares now, don’t you?

10. Christmas hiding place

Jumbo storage bags make fabulous gifts, of course, but they can also be used to hide and then transport all the Christmas presents for the people you’ve bought for.

11. Control the toys

Parents: unless you like tripping over toys or feeling like you live in Disneyland, then you’ll need to implement some sort of toy control measures in your life. Storage bags are great places to stockpile toys (until your child gets their hands on them, of course!).
