When is Father's Day?

Fathers Day in UK, is celebrated on the third Sunday of June, so Fathers Day 2012 is on Sunday 17th June.

We're not the only country to celebrate Father's Day on that particular day. In fact, 51 other countries spread out all around the world, use the same day in the calendar to pay tribute to their fathers.

March 19th is the most popular fixed date in the global calendar to celebrate Father's Day, with 8 countries including Spain, Italy and Portugal observing the occasion on that specific day each year.

In Australasia, Father's Day is on the first Sunday in September with New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and Papua New Guinea all recognising the occasion.

In Scandanavian countries such as Norway, Sweden and Finland, Father's Day is the second Sunday in November.

Bulgaria celebrate the occasion on Boxing Day, toasting their fathers on December 26th each year.

In South Korea, there is no Mother's Day or Father's Day. They simply celebrate 'Parent's Day' on May 8th.
