As well as knowing how to throw an epic party (I'm looking at you Mr. Diddy), celebs are notorious for splashing their cash on lavish (not to mention, frankly strange) wedding gifts. Read on, for some of the wackiest stories we could find.
Danielle Lloyd's Bentley
Back in May, the morning after tying the knot, footballer Jamie O'Hara gave his new wife, Danielle, a Bentley. But this wasn’t just any old Bentley (don't be stupid). He blinged it up with studded crystals. Of course she was delighted, and tweeted about it instantly!
Kim Kardashian's Ferrari
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries were married in August 2011, and as is customary, were given a £208,000 Ferrari as a wedding gift. Unfortunately, the keys were barely in the ignition before Kim filed for divorce just 72 days later. Kim has kept the car, but her now former husband is angry that she has not declared it when totting up the value of their nuptial gifts, which totalled a staggering £432,000. £6,000 a day - a nice little earner.
Katie Holmes's Jet
When they tied the knot in 2006, Tom Cruise gave Katie Holmes a customised Gulfstream Jet, costing the princely sum of £13 million. The pint-sized actor already (obviously) owns several expensive planes of his own, and he bought the jet to pass on his love of flying to his wife. The plane is equipped with all sorts of goodies, including internet access on the wing and a cinema with Top Gun on permanent loop (unconfirmed).
Prince William and Kate Middleton's Perfume
To commemorate the Royal Wedding, designer and perfumer, Clive Christian, presented the couple with his and hers bottles of the most expensive essence in the world: Clive Christian No. 1. The Imperial Majesty Edition perfume set included two bottles, decorated with 24-carat gold and 5-carat diamonds, in a silk-lined case. The perfume itself is made from ingredients worth £1,530 per ounce, and was officially sealed by Queen Victoria in 1872. So if you're ever lucky enough to get up close, don't miss your chance at a free sniff.
Katie Price's Mini Pig
Of course celeb wedding presents aren’t always about the money. It's the weird thought that counts, right? When Katie Price married cage fighter Alex Reid in 2010, she received a miniature pig as a wedding present. Katie adored her pocket piglet Bingles so much that she gave up eating pork altogether. Now that’s love! Alex wasn't quite as lucky.
Russell Brand's Bull
There were many rumours surrounding Katy and Russell’s big day, including claims that she gave him an elephant and he gave her a tigress. Although it turns out that neither of these exotic gifts were really exchanged, PETA did give the couple a living gift: a bull. The animal lives in India, and is also named Russell.
Justin Timberlake's Toaster
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel will soon be getting hitched, and their friend Lance Bass already knows what he's getting them - a toaster, with a picture of Mickey Mouse on it. It may seem odd, but his reasons are touching: Lance says the present is perfect for Justin, who already has everything. Aww...cheapskate.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's celebrity babysitting
Julia Roberts, has said that her wedding gift to Brangelina will be the offer of free babysitting services. A nice gesture of course, but with millions in the bank, I can't help but think they won't have trouble finding someone to watch their ever-growing brood.
